'Tis the Season

Every where we look we see the holiday season around us.  

The lights are lit, decorations are hung, 

and the air is alive with the sounds of the season.

The lights of the city are a blaze especially in Hyde Park at the Winter Wonderland.  

Tonight was a great night at the park -- mild temps and the crowds weren't bad either.   

If you are in the area and haven't been able to test out the rides make the time to give it a whirl.

The rides are great fun :)

I must note, the three pics below were taken with my Canon point and shoot. 

My main purpose was to go on a few rides so no DSLR this time!

A day out at a Vintage Car Show recently offered 

some interesting characters 

in addition to the amazing automobiles from

the turn of the century - 1900 style.

(A few images of the vehicles will follow in the coming days)

And, of course, the focus of the Vintage Car show....

Loved the detail of these amazingly restored 1900's automobiles.

London Photo Festival

Busy this week getting ready for the London Photo Festival

where I'll be exhibiting two photos along with approximately 30 London artists.

As I get more serious about my photography, events such as this

exhibit offer an opportunity to expand my knowledge 

on the subject and meet new people with similar interests.

The Inaugural London Photo Festival is complete
and was a great success.  This was my first foray participating
in a photo exhibit in London.  The venue at The Crypt
worked out wonderfully.  The Private Viewing on Thursday night
was well attended and there was a steady flow of visitors
during the open exhibit.
Thanks to all my friends for your support this week!
A congrats goes out to my friend and fellow exhibitor Nicola Albon.  
Nicola won 1st Runner Up to Best in Show.
My contributions to the exhibit included wildlife and people
from my Africa/Safari Collection.  Enjoy!

Street Art

Like tattoo artists, there are some extremely talented street artists.  

A friend posted a great street art image on his phototrivia blog and it reminded
me of some street art shots taken this summer so this week is focused on good street art.

Commuting to work in the city can be achieved by car, bus, taxi, metro, or bike.  

This week provides a look at some of the brave folks that risk life and limb

to commute by bike in busy city traffic.

If you are driving to work and there are cyclist commuting with you,

be sure to keep an eye out for them.
