Celebrating the Games.....

 London Olympics 2012....
Olympics celebrations are in full swing in the venue
within Hyde Park.  There are big screens with
different events playing all day long, vendors with refreshments,
and as you see below...... lots of colorful people.
I didn't realize I had caught the same women in two photos -- once in the park
and again leaving on a boris bike -- until reviewing the photos after getting home!
Nothing real spectacular about these images just sharing a little of the color & spirit of the games :)

Fans young and old show
their spirit and enjoy the games in Hyde Park!

  1. Haha, all I can think of here is that Genesis piece from Supper's Ready: "There's Winston Churchill dressed in drag, he used to be a British flag...." Nice shots and nice to see so many people out enjoying/celebrating the occasion.

  2. Wonderful shots.

I am amazed at how much the union jack has made a proud come back during the Olympics. There was a period when people were almost afraid of raising a British flag, in fear of showing to much patriotism. (this was all due to ridiculous political correctness). But there is nothing wrong with a little pride in your nation, especially when it is with such fun and friendliness. I have always been impressed with the USA, France and Japan with their balanced national pride.
