Week of 16 October 2011

Street Art
Like tattoo artists, there are some extremely talented street artists.
A friend posted a great street art image on his phototrivia blog and it reminded
me of some street art shots taken this summer so this week is focused on good street art.
Love gaining inspiration for postings from other blogs - Thanks, Mike!

more to come as the week goes on......

and a few more....

All of the above were taken on a visit to Brighton Beach earlier this year.
They definitely have some awesome street artists!

  1. I am looking forward to these Cheryl. I see quite a lot of great art around inner London, but have not really photographed much yet.

These are so well done. I particularly like the way the render has fallen away from the wall on the top shot, exposing the clean brickwork underneath.

Great subject for your latest post.

  2. Thanks, Bill. These artists are awesome. Unbelievable the talent out there doing street art. The people creating the street art in Brighton are extremely talented artists. I've seen some street art in other cities but I have to say, Brighton had the largest collection of top notch street art I've ever seen.

  3. Agreed, these are pretty remarkable works. Especially like the first one, photographically, as the brickwork gives it depth and character beyond the artwork itself. Nice collection!

  5. Bill - you definitely want to check out Brighton if you're looking for street art. We happened upon one wall of it then someone passing by told us what direction to head and we just kept finding more art around every turn. The images have probably changed by now so it would be interesting to see the new art work.
