A night of watching friends play cricket offered a great opportunity to work on improving my sports photography skills.   Definitely a lot to still learn about sports photography.  My love of photographing subjects close up was challenged when trying to get broader action shots.  Even with a 200mm zoom you can only get so close when working to get photographs of athletes in action.  Friends, nice weather, and a camera in hand..... fun time!

A biting protection system was evident at this eye glass shop.  You never know what you'll see from day to day.  Just another reason for always having a camera with you.  This was taken walking home from work today.  He was doing a great job -- barked at everyone coming near the shop showing he meant business :)

In search of a beautiful cathedral?  Almost every European city has at least one -- and usually more -- for you to visit.  The architecture varies greatly yet all are amazing in their own way.   I love the intricate lines, the arches, the stained glass, and wonderful artistry of these architectural works of art.  There are sure to be many more blog entries to come of European cathedrals.  The one shown here is located in London, England.

The first photo in my new photo blog is in honor of the final day of the 2011 Tour de France.  The photo above is from the 2005 finale and includes the lead racers taking their final laps in Paris.   It was fun watching Lance -- in the yellow jersey -- in his final Tour de France!   This ones for you EZ...
